Our Mission

Black Cat Cyber Security founders have decades of experience between them protecting some of the largest companies on the planet.  What struck us is the enormous disconnect between the capabilities of these compared to small and medium-sized businesses, one of the most significant is the ability to understand the cyber threats most likely to affect them and what to do about it.

Our mission is to turn ransomware activity, exploited vulnerabilities, scams, vendor alerts into trusted security guidance through clear weekly briefings and critical alerts written for business owners, managers and small teams to keep them safe in an uncertain world.

Cyber threat intelligence, written for small businesses

Most small businesses do not have time to read technical security advisories, ransomware reports, vulnerability feeds and government guidance every week. Black Cat Cyber Security was built to close that gap.

Our weekly threat briefings focus on what matters now: current ransomware activity, actively exploited vulnerabilities, emerging scams, supplier risks and practical security actions. Each report is written in plain English, with clear priorities and recommendations that can be understood by non-technical readers.

Behind the reports is a structured intelligence workflow. We use public cyber security sources, trusted government guidance, vendor advisories, news reporting and RansomGrok, our internal ransomware and vulnerability analysis project. RansomGrok helps track reported or claimed ransomware incidents, affected sectors, threat-group activity, known exploited vulnerabilities and wider cyber news so we can identify patterns that are relevant to UK businesses.

Based in the UK Black Cat is designed for organisations anywhere in the world that need useful cyber security intelligence without the noise. That includes business owners, office managers, finance teams, operations teams, IT generalists, managed service providers and small security teams.

Our aim is simple: help businesses understand the threats that matter, decide what to review first, and take practical steps to reduce risk.

What Makes Black Cat Different
